INTRODUCING

The Leadership Transition Lab

A Structured 1:1 Coaching for Senior Leaders (MDs, CEOs, CXOs, CXO-1 only ) in Transition

Settle in with Clarity. Show up with Confidence. Create Early Impact.

Don’t just transition—transform.

Our structured coaching ensures you master your new mandate and drive immediate, measurable value.

Why Transition Coaching?

Stepping into a senior leadership role is one of the most critical, and risky moments – for the leader , as well as the organization.

  • For organizations, it’s a massive commitment of time, trust, and capital.

  • For the leader, it’s a relentless test of credibility, influence, and the pressure to create an early, visible impact in the initial 180 days.

But most organizations underestimate what real support looks like.

After a few welcome meetings and strategy decks – the most experienced leaders are left to navigate this critical 180-day window alone.

However, leaders are suddenly juggling

  • High expectations and time pressure

  • Unspoken cultural rules

  • Stakeholders with unknown agendas

  • A new team demanding immediate direction

  • A Board that is waiting for transformation

Real Voices of Transitioning Leaders

“My former peers now see me as a threat”.

“I feel disconnected, due to the multiple layers of hierarchy”.

“No time to think strategically – constantly firefighting”.

“The culture is so different. Did I make the right move?“.

Testimonials

“Ashwni has a rare gift for holding up a mirror without judgment, helping you see your own patterns as the very things worth working on. Through his coaching I have grown in how I communicate with senior leadership, how I think and act as an enterprise leader beyond my own function, and how I collaborate across teams to solve problems together. What I valued most was how practical it was; every session left me with something concrete I could apply on the job straight away. The result is a calmer, more deliberate, more present version of myself as a leader. Ashwni carries his ICF-MCC credential not as a badge but as a lived practice. The rigour is real, and so is the warmth.”

Barkathulla Khan

VP Operations, Visteon

I have worked with Yoshita during important transition phases in my journey. Her coaching has had a meaningful impact on how I think, respond to situations, and show up as a leader. She played an important role during my transition to a CFO position. Her ability to connect leadership behaviour, self-belief & practical execution is something I found particularly valuable.

What truly differentiates Yoshita is her very high empathy combined with clarity of thought. She creates a space where honest reflection becomes possible without judgement, also nudging towards accountability & forward movement. She is not just a coach but also a trusted sounding board.

Srinivas Pramodh Emany

Group CFO - Indifi

“I’m able to handle situations and people in a far better manner than before. It has been an absolute joy to work with Yoshita. She helped me acknowledge my areas of development in no time and guided me towards addressing them. Her empathy and patience are her assets which immensely helped me in my journey toward self-development.

Sessions with her helped me recognize that strengths of mine which when in overdrive were in a way sabotaging my career growth. (It was very counterintuitive – because they were my ‘strengths’!) She helped me understand how to check my certain strengths from going into overdrive. I highly recommend Yoshita to anyone who wants to undergo professional coaching with her.”

Alok Karkera

Group Head, Axis Bank

“I engaged Ashwni as an Executive Coach to help me re-energize my team and support me navigate my organisation through the challenging times.

I have found his coaching and methods very insightful and innovative. Most importantly, his coaching has enabled my journey to a different level of leadership- collaboratively working with my peers and giving more space to and enabling the growth of my team. He is very thorough and uses a variety of methods both at the behavioural level and further deeper level that has made my leadership transformation easier and permanent.

Thank you, Ashwni for your impactful and empathetic support and help me become a professional that I have the potential of becoming.”

Deepak Kumar

Executive Vice President HR (CHRO) at Sidel Group

“Yoshita is one of the most humble and empathetic coaches I have ever met.

Her methods enabled me to open up my basic idiosyncrasies to identify deepest casualties that were between me and my goals.
She is a treasure trove of guiding principles and puts you in the driving seat, so the attributes’ transformation is real and sustainable.

I would highly recommend her as an executive coach, in case someone is looking to open up their blind spots and energise oneself to achieve greater ambitions.”

Rajkul Fulzele

Senior GM, Strategy & Analytics, Lupin

As a leader struggling with conflicting thoughts, I was lucky to have found Ashwni.

Ashwni is an excellent coach and mentor. He has coached me to become a better leader and, in the process, has helped me find some invaluable insights about myself. He has made me look inwards and search for limitations that tend to slow down my journey towards becoming a better leader. In the process, I have made peace with my innermost emotions and laid the conflicts to rest.

His method involves asking questions and making you reach inside your carefully guarded self for honest answers. Not to forget that he is very friendly, informal and an absolute pleasure to talk to. In him, I have found a friend, philosopher and guide.

I highly recommend Ashwni for anyone looking for his/her true meaning in life.

Suveer Kumar Gupta

Founder, MD & CEO at Shivalik Small Finance Bank

“Ashwni possesses a unique blend of empathy, insight, and expertise, as a Coach. He has a knack for asking the right questions, listening deeply, and providing actionable advice that has helped me navigate challenges and achieve my goals.

Besides that, one of the crucial aspect is to create a safe and trusting environment to explore thoughts and feelings openly, that resonates with Ashwni’s style. His, beyond, personalized support, tailored strategies, and practical tools are very meaningful and action oriented, that brings positive changes in Ways of Working.

His scientific approach towards coaching has helped me develop greater self-awareness, build confidence, and unlock my full potential, as a coach and as a leader.”

Dr. Sandeep Arora

Head Medical Affairs & Patient Services, Takeda India

Yoshita has been the guide for me, one who shines a light on the infinite treasure of strength and courage hidden within us. I reached out to her at a time when I was sure I would not make it.

When I spoke to her, she effortlessly made me shift from doubting myself to doubting my inner critic.

Her soul searching questions, a systematic way of working through a trail of thought, her way of creating safe space to deal with judgements and her compassionate being led me to see the absurdity of my inner critic.

In the end, I faced what I had to face, through my own strength and wisdom, and came out victorious. I learnt the lesson that no matter what I face, I only need to look inside. And Yoshita has played a central part in reminding me that nothing outside of me can keep me from achieving what I aim for.

“I became a more impactful leader and made substantial career progress in 9 months. Within the first month of coaching with Ashwini, I made considerable headway at work, such as communicating more effectively, taking frequent feedback and building trust with my stakeholders. I restructured my team and developed a razor sharp focus on my key deliverables, to increase the team productivity over the next few months.

This resulted in enhanced satisfaction levels of my senior stakeholders. I really benefited being a part of this very effective and results focussed leadership program. I would strongly recommend this program to all leaders who are serious about their career development.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I the right fit for this?

If you’ve recently stepped into a new role – like a CEO, CXO or CXO-1, in a new organisation, or through an internal promotion, the Leadership Transition Lab is designed for you. This isn’t general leadership coaching. It’s a structured coaching programme built specifically around the first 6 to 12 months of a new role, using our proprietary SCALEUP framework.

Why would I need coaching for a role I was chosen for?
A role transition brings its own set of challenges, and the stakes are high. This isn’t a capability challenge; it’s a transition challenge. In a new role, you have a new culture to align with, new stakeholders and a new team to build trust with,  all while under pressure to create an early impact. That’s exactly why it helps to have support. It’s often lonely at the top, and you may not feel comfortable sharing what you’re going through with colleagues, friends or family. Having a safe space where you can speak freely about your concerns and challenges, and work through them, makes a real difference at senior leadership levels.
What will I actually be doing for six months?
The programme includes 12 one-on-one sessions with a master coach, two every month. You’ll do a self-assessment of your strengths and blind spots, get your own strengths profile, and a transition roadmap built around your actual mandate, not just what you were told in your interview. You’ll follow a structured process based on our SCALEUP model, covering self-awareness, culture integration, stakeholder alignment, team leadership, and executive presence, with customised content, resources and reflection exercises along the way. Towards the end, you’ll have a clear plan for how you want to navigate the next year or two in this role.
How much of my time will this take?
The programme will take about two to three hours a month across the two sessions, scheduled at a time that works for both you and your coach. You’ll have access to some exercises and reading material too, which you can go through at your own convenience. Net-Net, would be good to keep aside 4 hours a month for the leadership transition lab.
Will my employer get to know about this?
We work to the International Coaching Federation code of ethics and hold ourselves to the highest level of confidentiality. What you discuss with your coach stays with your coach !

  • If you’re a self-sponsored coachee: It’s entirely your choice whether to involve your stakeholders/ employers. As part of the process, we connect with people around you to understand their expectations of you in this new role, and we have a mid-point review and an end point review built in. The reviews can happen with you alone or along with your manager, as preferred by you.
  • If your organisation is sponsoring the programme: Your reporting manager and HR will know that sessions are happening. They will never see what’s actually said in a session. Where stakeholder interviews are involved, your sponsor may have visibility into who’s being spoken to, but not what’s discussed. We agree right at the start on exactly what gets shared, and with whom, so you’re never caught off guard. Usually, the mid-point and end point reviews are done with you and your manager and we have seen leaders prefer that, because it gives them a chance to discuss their assimilation with their bosses and get on-the-spot valuable feedback.
I am looking at this program for someone in my team. How does that work?
We would love to work with your team member! We work with best-in-class organisations on their senior leadership transitions. We’ll want to understand the mandate you’ve given them, what a good outcome looks like from your perspective, and who their key stakeholders are. The leader will own the coaching relationship, and their sessions as well as stakeholder report stays confidential. You’ll get visibility into how the transition is progressing, from the leader’s point of view, through tripartite conversations. Reach out to us and we’ll set up a call with one of our master coaches to get the process started.
How is this different from mentoring?
Mentoring is very different from Coaching. A mentor tells you what you should do, based on how they handled something in their own journey, which rarely translates well from one organisation to another. Your context is different, and this leadership transition is unique to you. The Leadership Transition Lab is designed to help you integrate and assimilate into the new role as early as possible – using coaching as the method to get you there. The focus of coaching is to help you explore your own experience in a safe space and arrive at your own unique way of handling your challenges.
How will I know it worked?
For starters, you will no longer feel like an outsider in the new organisation. Its when you start referring to your team as “us” rather than “them.”  You’ll reach a place where you feel comfortable, settled, and clear about how to succeed in this role. As one CEO who went through the programme told us, “Leadership Transition Lab has helped me feel settled in this role” and that’s the best measure of success. Most leaders go through a phase of struggle and self-doubt when they first make the transition. Through this process, they arrive at a place where they’re more confident, clear, and ready to make the impact the role deserves.
Do we have to be in the same city?
The programme can be run virtually or in hybrid mode, depending on your preference. Stakeholder interviews are done over video calls, wherever those people happen to be. So no, we do not have to be in the same city to make this a success!
How soon can I start?
You can usually start within two to three weeks of completing your registration formalities. We work with an exclusive set of senior leaders, so occasionally there might be a short wait. If your timing is tight because you’re about to step into the role, let us know on the call and we’ll work around it.
What happens on the first call?
The first call is a 30-minute conversation. We’ll spend it understanding your context and the transition you’re navigating, and you can ask us anything about how the programme works. We’ll walk you through the process in detail, along with relevant case studies and other details, so you leave knowing whether this is the right fit for you.
What happens if someone changes roles midway through the six months?

If your context changes midway, we encourage you to get in touch with your coach, to discuss how you’d like to use the remaining sessions.  Coaching will be tailored to the new scenario, and it will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

New role is a chance to grow – not just as a leader, but as a person.

Let’s make the most of the first 180 days.
